Modification to the List of Permitted Food Enzymes to Enable the Use of Pectinesterase
Health Canada’s Food Directorate completed the premarket safety assessments of two food additive submissions seeking authorization for the use of two types of pectinase, pectinesterase from Aspergillus oryzae AR-962 and polygalacturonase from Aspergillus oryzae AR-183, in fruit and vegetable processing and wine production effective September 28, 2023.
